General Description

The Sr. Fraud Investigator conducts objective examinations and investigations of alleged misconduct or suspected violations against policies and procedures of the Hopkins Institutions (Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Health System) and/or laws of the State of Maryland and/or the United States. Provides written reports of findings, conclusions and recommendations. Supports and educates the staff of the Office of Hopkins Internal Audit and assists with the identification of fraud risk areas. Ensures new policies are implemented to prevent recurrence. Coordinates with General Counsel, Human Resources, Corporate/Campus Security and other JH offices to facilitate investigations. On a regular and continuous basis, the Senior Investigator exercises administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences and results having an impact on people, costs and/or quality of service within a functional area. The Senior Investigator can make decisions necessary to carry out assigned tasks at the discretion of the Executive director. In addition, the Senior Investigator must comply with the office of Internal Audits policies and procedures.
